A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where did you purchase them?

I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and snagged them that way!

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus

How much do they cost?

When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their full price is around $514.

How does the sizing run?

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.

Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.

Is the comfort worth it?

Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..

How durable are they?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How do they compare to other sneakers?

These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Next-level.

Would you recommend them?

Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
